Heshkili is a small viewpoint above the valley near Mestia, and it has become famous for one simple reason: a wooden swing hanging over the edge, with the Caucasus mountains behind it. On a clear day you can see Mt. Ushba and the surrounding peaks - and the photos from the swing look exactly as good as you hope they will.
This is a short, easy trip. We drive you up from Mestia, you take your time at the viewpoint - swing, photos, fresh mountain air - and then sit down for a warm cup of local Georgian mountain tea with the panorama in front of you. No hiking, no rush, no fitness requirements. About 2 hours.
It works on its own as a relaxed half-morning or afternoon, and it pairs perfectly with a bigger tour on the same day - most of our guests combine it with the Ushguli Day Tour.
We pick you up at the agreed point and drive up towards the Heshkili viewpoint. The drive itself is scenic - views open up as you climb.
The swing is free to use - no extra charge. Take your photos, enjoy the panorama of Ushba and the valley, and relax in the fresh mountain air. No time pressure at the top.
Sit back with a warm cup of local mountain tea and take in the view - available on site, paid separately. It's a small ritual, but it's the part people remember.
Total trip: approximately 2 hours from pickup to drop-off.
Transport from Mestia included in both options. The swing is free. Direct booking - no platform fee.
* For 3 or more people, private works out cheaper per person than shared - and you choose the departure time.
Direct booking - better price, no platform fee. We usually reply within the hour.
This is the combination our guests love most. Spend the day in Ushguli - medieval towers, the highest inhabited village in Europe - and on the way back, stop at Heshkili for the swing, the views, and a cup of mountain tea before returning to Mestia. Two very different experiences, one day, no wasted time.
The swing is completely free to use - no extra charge, no tickets. Take your time and take as many photos as you want.
About 2 hours from pickup in Mestia to drop-off. That covers the drive up, free time at the viewpoint and swing, and the tea break. It's designed to be short - easy to fit into any day.
No. We drive you up and the viewpoint is right there. This makes Heshkili a good choice for families with kids, older travelers, or anyone who wants big mountain views without the effort.
Yes - and it's our most popular combination. Ushguli first, then Heshkili on the way back: swing, photos, and tea before returning to Mestia. Write to us on WhatsApp and we'll plan the timing for you.
A warm cup of locally made tea from mountain herbs, served at the viewpoint. It's paid on site and not included in the tour price - same as meals and other drinks. The trip is short enough that this isn't an issue.
Shared departures run once a group comes together - there's no fixed daily timetable. Write to us with your preferred date and we'll tell you when the next group goes. If you'd rather not wait or want your own timing, the private option is 120 GEL per vehicle for up to 7 people.
The season runs May to October. For photos, clear mornings and late afternoons have the best light. Mountain weather changes fast - if visibility is genuinely bad on your day, we'll tell you honestly and suggest rescheduling.
Via WhatsApp or Instagram - we usually reply within the hour. Let us know how many people, your preferred date and time, and whether you want shared or private. Direct booking is cheaper than booking platforms.
