This Privacy Policy explains what personal data TravelMestia collects when you contact us or book a tour, transfer or custom trip, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep the amount of data we collect to what we actually need to run your trip.
If you booked through GetYourGuide or Viator, those platforms also process your data under their own privacy policies. This policy covers data you share with TravelMestia directly.
TravelMestia is operated by Individual Entrepreneur "Travel Mestia", identification number 01017048939, registered at 16 Botanikuri Street, Krtsanisi District, Tbilisi, Georgia, represented by Luka Kakhiani. We are a local tour and transfer company based in Mestia, Svaneti.

This policy applies to personal data we collect when you contact us or book directly with us, through our website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email or in person. It does not cover other companies' websites or services we may link to, or bookings made through GetYourGuide or Viator, which are governed by those platforms' own privacy policies.
Information you give us. When you enquire or book, we collect what we need to arrange your trip: your name, the contact details you use to reach us (email, phone number, WhatsApp number or Instagram handle), your booking details (dates, tour or route, number of people, pickup point), and any information you choose to share so we can run the trip safely, such as a dietary need, mobility limitation or medical condition relevant to a mountain route.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting platform and basic analytics may collect standard technical data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and how you move through the site. This is used to keep the site working and understand which pages are useful. See section 6.
You do not have to share more than we ask. If you send us sensitive information (for example a health detail), you are choosing to do so to help us plan your trip, and we use it only for that.
We use your personal data to:
Most of what we do is simply to deliver the service you asked for. Where we rely on your consent (for example recognisable photos), you can withdraw it at any time.
When you pay by secure payment link or online, your card payment is handled by our payment provider, TBC Bank, not by us. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep only the booking confirmation and the record that payment was made, which we need for accounting and for any refund. Payments made through GetYourGuide or Viator are processed by those platforms.
Our website runs on Webflow and uses cookies and similar technologies. Alongside the cookies needed to make the site work, we use analytics and advertising tools: Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console (to understand traffic and how people find us), Microsoft Clarity (to see how visitors use our pages, which can include anonymised session recordings and heatmaps), and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (to measure our ads and reach people on Facebook and Instagram). Some of these set cookies and share limited website-activity data with Google and Meta, who process it as our providers. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so may make some parts of the site work less smoothly.
We share your data only where it is needed to run your trip or where the law requires it:
We do not sell your personal data. The tools in section 6 share limited website-activity data with Google and Meta so we can measure our own site and ads.
We are based in Georgia, and your data is handled here. Because we work with online tools (for example messaging apps, our website host, our analytics providers and our payment provider), some data may be processed on servers outside your country. We only use reputable providers and share the minimum needed to run your booking and our website.
We keep your booking data for as long as needed to deliver your trip and handle anything that follows, such as a refund or a question. After that, we keep the minimum required for our accounting and legal obligations, and then delete or anonymise it. Enquiries that do not turn into bookings are kept only for a short time.
You can ask us at any time to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it where we no longer need it. You can also object to a particular use or withdraw a consent you gave us. Just write to travelmestia@gmail.com and we will handle it. If you booked through GetYourGuide or Viator, you can also exercise these rights with them for the data they hold.
We do not send newsletters or marketing emails. We are active on Instagram and Facebook and we run ads there; the Meta Pixel on our site (section 6) helps us measure those ads and show them to relevant people. If you contact us on social media, those platforms process your data under their own policies. Following or messaging us does not sign you up for anything.
We sometimes take photos and video on our tours and use them to show what our trips are like, including on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear in this content, tell your guide or write to us before or during the tour and we will not use recognisable images of you. This is covered in more detail in our Terms and Conditions.
Bookings are made by adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 18. Where children travel with you, the responsible adult provides only the details we need to run the trip safely.
We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and to limit who can see it to the people who need it to run your trip. No system is ever completely secure, but we work with trusted tools and keep the data we hold to what we actually need.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool or the law changes. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
