Mazeri is one of those places that doesn't require much selling. A long, quiet valley. A forest trail that follows the Dolra River. And at the end - the Shdugra waterfall dropping from high cliffs in a place that genuinely feels untouched.
You'll start with a scenic drive from Mestia through traditional Svan villages - stone towers rising above old farmhouses, mountains everywhere. The road turns off-road before reaching Hikers Cafe, where the trail begins.

The route itself is easy to follow and suitable for most fitness levels. You'll walk through woodland paths, cross a few small bridges, and move alongside the river until the valley opens up at the waterfall. No crowds. No tourist infrastructure. Just the Caucasus doing what it does best.
After returning to the cafe, you can stay for freshly prepared mountain trout - a local specialty. Not included in the price, pay on site.

Visit the highest inhabited village in Europe and discover medieval Svan towers, mountain views and authentic local culture.
